The Good
This supplement contains citrate and malate in addition to the magnesium glycinate, offering a good range of magnesium types with an effective absorption profile. You also get 2 good types of zinc for high absorption - Zinc Citrate and ascorbate. A good high dose of vitamin D3 is added, to help support bone health, and it’s vegan D3 sourced from algae.
The Bad
It contains both magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide, fillers we prefer to avoid. It lacks vitamin B6, so the health benefits of magnesium may be reduced unless you take B6 separately. The dosage is a little low at 205 mg, falling below the NHS recommended magnesium level for men (300 mg) and women (250 mg).
Conclusion
Overall this is a reasonable quality choice for some people who mainly want magnesium for bone health or to top up their magnesium levels to calm tense muscles. But there are better alternatives for people who want a full dose in their magnesium glycinate capsules rather than pointless fillers.
